Andrew has been the Assistant Curate in the Parish of Jarrow and Simonside since July 2024. Born and raised in the North East (he's a Hartlepool lad!), Andrew feels particularly called to ministry in the local area.  Before training for ordination, he was a music teacher in a secondary school and sixth form college. Working with children and young people continues to be at the heart of Andrew's sense of call. Having grown up in the church, Andrew knows the joy that comes with belonging to a strong church family, one that both he and his wife Lucy have come to enjoy since their move to Jarrow and Simonside. While no longer teaching music, Andrew continues to enjoy singing and playing the piano and sings with a Durham based choir, 'Northern Spirit Singers', performing both with them and as a soloist in the local area and beyond.
